Bleeker was the star of the show in the first half of this matchup and almost singlehandedly gave Sioux Center its initial lead. She showed range early by knocking down two triples when the defense didn’t close out well enough. Once defenders did close out on her catch, Bleeker showed high-IQ by attacking off the dribble. She looked confident pulling up for jumpers off the dribble and also flashed a smooth floater along the baseline. Finishing the first half with 15 points, Bleeker had her teammates and the crowd on her feet. Though she’s only a sophomore she looks comfortable handling pressure, finishing different ways on the floor, and converting contested shots. Bleeker is averaging 9 points per game thus far into her season — I think this number will continue to rise as Bleeker and teammate Maryn Franken Maryn Franken 6'0" | SF Sioux Center | 2027 State IA look to be a solid one-two punch for Sioux Center.

It seems like every Winter Sioux Center High School gets another talented group of ballers at a few different positions around the floor. Last Winter it was 2028 – Amirah Bleeker Amirah Bleeker 5'8" | SG/SF Sioux Center | 2028 State IA . Bleeker came in as a 5’8 Freshman and did a great job of being a consistent producer for her varsity squad. Bleeker mainly shot the ball from beyond the arc, shooting 89 of 99 attempts from three. I’m sure that she will have a little more say within her team’s overall system this time around but her best ability is letting it fly so hopefully they don’t get too far away from that concept.

Amirah Bleeker Amirah Bleeker 5'8" | SG/SF Sioux Center | 2028 State IA might only be a player out of the 2028 Class but she showed today in front of the state that she is going to be someone to know over the next three years at the varsity level. Bleeker hit multiple shots in this contest, helping her team in some big moments in both halves. In the first she was hitting three pointers off the catch after the ball touched the post and then in the second half she hit a nice floater on the baseline to tie the ball game with a few minutes left in the fourth. Sioux Center is going to be back again this next season. They return a lot of skilled prospects and their top dawgs should come back hungrier than ever. Including Bleeker.
