Deleon has been on the radar for the past year, and she has really handled business over that time. Deleon was a standout at the Prep Girl Expo. It was there we saw her explosive first step up close. Her ability to get by defenders is consistent and scary good. She has speed and great ball-handling skills that allow her to penetrate through defenses and score the ball. Deleon has elite scoring ability and can shoot the jumper and create her own shot off of the dribble when necessary. Deleon made it to the State playoffs with the help of talented teammates. Her playmaking ability allows for her teammates to excel on the floor. Deleon’s speed and playmaking ability open up the floor for her teammates to score jumpers as well as shots around the rim. Deleon’s consistent playmaking has resulted in a move up the rankings. She is poised to have a great Senior season which could lead to another rise up the rankings.

She also has a quick first step and accelerates rapidly, so if defenders close out on her, she can put the ball on the floor and reach the rim before the defense can rotate. In the open court, she handles ball pressure well and has no problem bringing the ball up. If defenders try to lock her down, she has a range of moves and counters to create space for her shot. The Lynn commit averaged 12.3 PPG last season while shooting 49% from the field on a high-powered offensive team with four players averaging double digits. Angelina helped lead her team to the 7A State Final Four and looks to repeat that success this season, aiming to reach the 7A state championship to cap off her high school career.
