Amelie brought energy to both ends of the floor and played with a consistent motor throughout the event. She came up with a steal and immediately pushed in transition to show her ability to advance the ball with either a pass or her dribble. She also showed good body control by stopping on a dime and rising into a pull-up jumper. This lefty guard proved herself to be a glue player and spark plug for her team at the showcase.

Amelie is a solid piece of a Doral program that consistently develops kids and has one of the best JV programs in the state that allows kids to get reps and minutes. She turned a lot of heads at the Freshman Showcase with her passing, handles, shiftiness, and scoring abilities. I’m excited to see her continued development as one of the most promising 2029 guards in South Florida.

Amelie Riverio is a true point guard with the handles to keep defenses on their heels and the vision and anticipation to drop dimes—often passing her teammates open before they even realized it. She made some of the best passes in the entire showcase. But that wasn’t all; she could let it fly too, knocking down shots both off the catch and off the dribble. One of the clear breakout players of the showcase.
