Collins had an overly impressive showing on the PGH Circuit this season, and that landed her in the rankings. Nicole and Marissa were impressed at this event; see evaluations here. Well, how about the hat trick as her elevation on her jumper from outside looked good, she also scored around the basket with ease, yet I think her defense outside the paint needs to be mentioned as well

Anissa Collins Anissa Collins 6'1" | PF/CG Home School | 2029 State TX used her length and athleticism to control the paint. Highly alert, she regularly used her size to contest and alter shots, strengthening the interior defense with a couple of blocks. Offensively, she converted efficiently at the rim and showcased elite court vision for a big, dropping a beautiful, well-timed pass to a cutting teammate. While Collins is still developing her full arsenal and improving her post moves, her tremendous upside is indisputable. The next step in her evolution is developing a ruthless, hyper-aggressive “dawg” mentality in the paint—playing with the kind of fierce competitive edge and presence that defines Angel Reese. If she pairs that mentality with expanding her interior game, she can absolutely compete at the collegiate level in a few years.

Anissa did a nice job working her defender up the lane line to create space behind her for the lob pass and an easy bucket. She showed some good work around the paint as well, securing the rebound, getting into a strong dribble, and using the drop step to finish for two. Good understanding of how to use positioning and footwork to create advantages inside.

Collins just entered the rankings on my last update because she continues to show “on the court” progression, see evaluations here, and watching her elevate around the basket to score, her hands and footwork were impressive, but let me also add her midrange, which is a lost art is looking better and better as she’s turning into a player who can score multiple ways and falling in that “nightmare to defend” group

Collins impressed both me and @playerrimedies last season, see evaluations here, and peep this, I love “on the court” progression, so seeing her elevate her game on the court as well as elevate over defenders to score around the basket was nice. Her timing to block shots is better, so is her “on the ball” defense, yet her pull-up jumper is picture perfect as she dropped it from mid to long-range

Collins is “long and athletic” which is the base, and seeing her playing multiple positions was nice. She rebounded, on both ends, handled the ball afterward, but she also scored around the basket. She attacked from the wing and dropped the long ball “catch and shoot” style

It is vital for bigs to keeps the ball high and Collins understands this. She likes to drop step baseline and use her size to maneuver a shot off. High arching shot around the rim. Collins shows great mobility and an ability to guard in space meaning she can defend outside of the paint and open areas of the floor.
