#4 for Wichita Heights, Aniyah is a leader and solid communicator on the floor. She’s a senior who could easily succeed at the next level in D1. Her game against KMC was a masterclass of mid-range and offensive rebounding as a guard. Her quick recovery on defense allowed her to lead the team in Blocked shots and steals against KMC. With her overall production on both ends, her athleticism, and her winning attitude, combined with her 1 play-at-a-time mental focus, I’m not seeing much of a weakness here on the outside looking in.

On a floor with talented guards for both the Falcons and Eisenhower Lions Harris clearly was my player of the game. While she filled it up at all three levels, including hitting a trio of three-pointers, impressive was how well she passed the ball. In a variety of situations she made soft, quick and catchable passes including while leading breaks. I have watched her since her state tournament appearance with Wichita Southeast and Harris continued to be a high level prospect.

Aniyah is not your typical point guard. She makes it her job to blow by people not only at the top of the key but down low as well. She is all about the contact. She will complete the job and draw an and one. She is not letting anyone stop her when she is down low near the basket. Not only is she active in the paint but she is a solid rebounder. Which helps her not only in offensive but defensive possessions as well. She has quick handles which helps her to blow by people at the top of the key. Her game is not limited to only the paint but extends to the three point line as well. She does well shooting on the catch, and if she is not open she is able to creates spacing for her teammates.

#8 The transfer from Wichita Southeast is clearly the most aggressive, physical player on both ends of the floor in the Wichita Area. Confident, strong, quick, fast, and with strong handles Harris showed literal scorer’s table range against Blue Valley North in the 6A tournament last March. A Greater Wichita Area League honorable mention selection in 2023 she has elite hand speed to go with her footwork as well. Even when strong ball handlers pause or even get a complacent moment that ball will be hers. And she will be gone. Period. Joining a Falcons team with several other all-league transfers that already has several returning, all-league starters the question is going to be who will lead. As strong as Harris is individually I will watching how she develops as a player running a team. With three high school seasons ahead of her, the player coming out the other end of them will be an interesting player to see.
