Aniyah impressed me with her physicality, hard-nosed drives, and toughness. I described Aniyah as an aggressive driver in my notes. She consistently attacked and scored around the basket. Aniyah converted a layup after a hard drive to the basket, made a smooth transfer to score a contested layup on a fast break, went up strong to score a tough, contested finish in traffic, and drove to the basket with a full head of steam for a bucket. She made a smart basket cut, caught the pass with strong hands, then scored the and-one layup off two feet. She’s going to be a key member of the Madison lineup and a productive two-way player.

Aniyah, competing with Team Sparks at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, made her presence felt through her defensive intensity and activity on the glass. During 3v3 play, she stood out with very active hands, consistently disrupting passing lanes and creating pressure on opposing ball handlers. In 5v5 action, she carried that same energy by applying full-court pressure and making it difficult for guards to bring the ball up comfortably. Aniyah also contributed on the boards, showing strong effort and positioning to secure rebounds, including a few offensive boards where she extended possessions for her team. Her consistent defensive effort and willingness to do the extra work made her a valuable and reliable contributor throughout.

Jones is an exciting freshman-to-be that coaches and scouts really want to see at the Freshman Showcase. She’s a true 2 way player that can and will have an influence on both ends of the floor. Jones is a versatile wing that can probably defend at least 3 positions very effectively. She can score from outside and in and is a physical rebounder.
