Karsyn of Michigan Premier 16U Guenther put together a strong performance during Saturday morning action at the PGH MI State Tournament. She showed confidence handling the basketball and did a great job facilitating the offense with her vision and passing ability. Karsyn was effective attacking the paint, including an impressive spin move in the lane that created a difficult scoring opportunity for the defense to stop. Her effort level also stood out on both ends of the floor. In transition defense, she sprinted back hard and came up with a big chase-down block that energized her team. She also battled on the glass and came away with several offensive rebounds, helping extend possessions with her activity and toughness.

Karsyn, a guard for Michigan Premier , made her impact felt at the MI College Tour III stop at Grand Valley State University with a well-rounded performance on both ends. She showed control offensively, knocking down a smooth pull-up jumper in the mid-range. Defensively, she was locked in, using quick hands to disrupt plays and come away with a steal that led to a perfectly timed assist to a teammate for an easy score. Her awareness and ability to make plays stood out throughout her time on the floor.

Karsyn turned in a multidimensional game for Michigan Premier 16U Guenther on Saturday Morning of the PGH MI College Tour. She threw a strong skip pass up the court for an assist, and her fast pace created transition scoring. Karsyn isn’t afraid to shoot from the perimeter, and she buried a smooth step-back triple. Karsyn wreaked havoc on opposing ball-handlers with her quick lateral movement in the full-court press and actively communicated with teammates on the floor. She attacked hard downhill off the dribble and switched hands quickly in the lane, then earned multiple trips to the free-throw line. She doesn’t shy away from contact and is a strong, compact guard.

Karsyn made quite the impression a year ago during the AAU season with her court vision, all-out defensive effort, rebounding presence, hard drives to the rim, and lights-out shooting from three-point range. She’s a guard I’m expecting to stand out again during the PGH MI College Tour at Northwood with Michigan Premier 16U Guenther.

Karsyn, running the point for Team 1 at the PGH Expo, impressed with her ability to create opportunities for others and herself. She consistently attacked the lane, forcing help defenders to collapse before dishing the ball out to open teammates for clean looks. Off the ball, she timed her cuts well, slipping into gaps in the defense and finishing plays with confidence. Her decision-making and activity on the floor made her a steady and impactful presence throughout the event.

Karsyn impressed me greatly at The Smoke during my first time watching her compete. She changed directions on a dime with her shifty crossover dribbles and was dialed in from 3-point distance. Karsyn buried a long one from the wing and added two more triples off the bounce. She drove hard downhill to score a contested layup and kicked the ball out to perimeter shooters. Karsyn worked hard to secure rebounds and pushed the ball quickly up the court with her eyes up to find open teammates. She snagged steals on defense and moved to open space without the ball.
