Anna is the leader for a team that is 13–0 and probably should’ve been in my story last week about teams that nobody’s talking about. This young lady has taken the area by a storm in her class, averaging 22 points, five assists and six steals per game, she is one of the most precision guards you’ll see in the region in her class. Very skilled, very sharp with the ball, and she has her team at top the conference. She’s a special kid ready for the next level.

Anna knows how to make the swish sound quite often! Stroup has a beautiful touch from three point land- it’s as natural as shooting a free-throw! She’s always thinking two steps ahead, which makes her so dangerous! She reads defenses very well, can go through multiple players and score. And her steals create a whole lot of headaches for opponents!

I can tell you, the folks at Madison Plains have been waiting for her! Anna has a great compete game with a very high basketball IQ. She can defend and force mistakes, and with the ball in her hands, there isn’t much she can’t do. Expect her team to gravitate toward her as she helps lead MP to an improved season. Anna is ranked #20 in the initial rankings.

I got to see her play earlier this summer with her high school team, but I am ready to check her out against players in her own age group this weekend. She has excellent handles and for a freshman, she is poised and was the player who made a huge difference for her team.
