Philson was one of the bright spots I already knew about at the event, as she caught my eye at the PGH Freshman Showcase and went off at the PGH Sophomore ID Camp see evalauation here where I saw “on the court” progression so seeing her continue to add to her game, turnaround jumper with a hand in her face and even better “catch and shoot” were nice yet her timing to block shots goit her teammates going as well

Philson caught my PGH colleague from Oklahoma @coachjvick1 at the Neville Jones Invitational see evaluation here yet at the Sophomore ID Showcase she showed me her “on the court” progression after seeing her a year earlier at the Freshman Showcase see evaluation here. Her upside is high, she does a good job setting the defender up to drop the jumper or score off the dribble yet her defense is also solid

Philson helped “set it off ‘ last season at the Freshman Showcase see evaluation here, and my mentioning her “ceiling has no roof” was on point. I see she’s added the crossover and it created problems in both the half and full-court and so did her finishing with either hand, after contact, yes body control was nice. She also gave me the “stop and pop” in transition, saw the floor, and played the passing lane

A guard that got my attention at first with the outside shot. As the game progressed she also showed some nice footwork when attacking the rim. Sliding between defender squeezing through gap to appear at the rim. Showed nice vision as not to force the issue by kicking the ball out to the shooter for the open shot. A very nice player that is a 2027 that I will keep an eye on.
