A’Sharia Simmons A’Sharia Simmons SF/PF Joe T. Robinson | 2029 State AR is another player in the top 5 who already holds a Division I offer. Coming into the season with the Lady Senators, Simmons is bound to pick up some more.
Simmons looks very comfortable with the ball in her hands, even this early on in her basketball career. She handles the ball well and can finish off the break. A good portion of her scoring comes from her play inside, which she can initiate by intercepting passes and taking them all the way to score.
Simmons has great length, which helps her both on the perimeter and in the paint. She posted 7 steals against Lonoke last season and then 8 steals against Conway St. Joseph. In the painted area, Simmons has proven to be a solid shot-blocker who could play as a big in small-ball situations. One of her best games last season was against Quitman, where she swatted 7 shots.
