About Ashlyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I think my gameplay style is a combination of physical and finesse. My body type allows me to be physical while rebounding and finishing around the rim. While also having a soft touch on the perimeter.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would say I have a tough and determined personality. I like to be challenged and pushed.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in national junior honor society and I am also in orchestra.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership qualities by playing up. I think lead both on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

It is always a challenge playing up in age level and playing against really tough teams but i always think i rise to the challenge.

What type of college are you looking for?

At this point in my recruiting process I am open to learning about a variety of colleges.

When I was talking to her AAU coach a few months ago, he couldn’t stop raving about her game. It didn’t take long to find out why, she is definitely very talented in different aspects of the game. She’s got the size to handle the paint, but she also sees the floor well, can distribute and move without the basketball. In a very talented freshman class, she’s gonna have the coaches knocking down the door very soon! She debuts at number 5 in the state.
