It’s not hard to figure out who Harlan Community’s best player is from watching them for about five minutes and that is Senior PG,

. Schwieso is a lengthy and fast moving player, that can control her team’s pace on either side of the ball. Offensively, she is a quick thinker, smart decision maker, and skilled talent. She can put the ball on the floor and create off the dribble for others or she can get all the way to the basket for a clean look herself. Defensively, she is very good at jumping to her spots and creating havoc in the full court with her pressure. This is the individual for this team that you give the ball too in crunch time and you tell her to go get you a bucket. She has demonstrated over the years that she is a leader in every aspect of the word and that’s why she falls into this spot in this piece.

brings that combination of length, smarts, coordination, and willingness to adapt that every coach loves to see. Schwieso is a 5’10 PG, that understands the meaning of her position. She is a relentless assist leader on every team she plays with and she is always working to make the best situations for the others around her. At the next level, if Schwieso could find a mean side, she could be very productive. I’m not sure if that is her intentions at this time but if so, there are a few coaches across the Midwest that would gladly talk to her moving forward.

is going to have a handful of D3 and NAIA choices to choose from at the end of the day. Schwieso stands out to anyone watching because of her coordination, lengthy arms, and aggressive but calculated play-style. At the next level she should be able to step up and prove herself useful, especially if she continues to expand her game. She has the natural height and balance for her position to thrive, she just needs to keep on working, no matter where she ends up picking as her collegiate choice.

brings to the court is interesting. This is a prospect with lengthy size at 5’10, she is naturally talented in all of her movements, and she seems to make things happen out of nowhere when her team needs it the most. In the programs that she competes with, Schwieso is the leader for her squads in several different aspects. She always looks like the most put together out there competing and she really does pass the “eye” test from a scouting perspective. Schwieso is also going to be someone at the D3 level in a few years once she makes a choice as to who to compete with after high school. Whoever it is, is getting another solid piece that could turn into something special over time.

of Harlan Community High School took a visit to Central (Dutch) College to see if she liked the program and campus, eventually leaving with an offer to compete with Central once she graduates high school. Schwieso is a lengthy Guard, that moves well for her size. She is the type of prospect that isn’t going to kill you with a flashy move but more-so fundamentals. I will say, she makes some plays that are very tricky. Sometimes she does pull out a quick euro step or intriguing finish at the rim while driving. Moving froward, I’m not sure where Schwieso’s mind is at but I think that she would thrive in this system. They play unselfish basketball and do a great job of moving around the floor at a consistent pace. As long as she would be set up for success and she works hard, she could be a starter in this program before you know it. Obviously she would have to earn that playing time but getting an offer is the first step. Now she just needs to go out and continue to take care of business.

Aubrey Schwieso may play for a smaller school in Harlan Community but she has demonstrated this past few months that she is a player to know out of this 2025 Class moving forward. Schwieso plays the PG/SG position and displays touch/coordination with the basketball in her hands. She always has a good idea of what she wants to do on the offensive end, usually getting herself or an open teammate a bucket off of the dribble. Something that stands out about Scheiweso is her naturally long arms. She gets a lot of tips/steals/deflections on the defensive side of the ball because of it, while it also helps her score over smaller defenders near the rim. Moving forward, I will have my eye on Schwieso and Harlan Community. They have 2/3 players that could have intriguing futures on the basketball court when their high school career’s come to a close.
