The powerhouse that is Grace Albertsen Grace Albertsen 6'1" | PF Harlan Community | 2025 State IA showed out for Harlan Community over these past few days, making an impact near the hoop with her mixture of length, quick reflexes, and knowledge of the game from a strategic standpoint. In Harlan’s big win to move forward on Saturday, Albertsen finished with 17 points (8-10) and 12 rebounds. With this stat line, it’s important to note that within those 12 rebounds, 10 of them were on the offensive side of the floor for the Cyclones. This just goes to show you how this group dominated and where a lot of their production came from. They also happen to have a guard on fire shooting the ball from deep in Molly Swensen. When you pair those two things together, it is tough to stop. Hopefully this crew can keep riding this momentum. They looked very good in Round One. Now it’s time to see what they can put together moving into their next matchup.

When you look at Harlan Community from the outside, they have size. They have tall prospects and that seems to be a reoccurring theme of the past few years. Their main producer inside the lane this Winter, that really plays off Schwieso, is 6’1 Center Grace Albertsen Grace Albertsen 6'1" | PF Harlan Community | 2025 State IA . Albertsen is nice with her back to the basket, she rebounds at a thorough rate on both offense and defense, and she can pass out of most situations if she is doubled on the catch or bounce. All of these abilities combined together to make a solid prospect. A prospect that has shown her worth in year’s past and now she is finishing off her senior year with a bang. Something you love to see.

This is the high school season that Grace Albertsen Grace Albertsen 6'1" | PF Harlan Community | 2025 State IA of Harlan Community High School steps up and takes a big stride in her overall play-style on the Varsity floor. Albertsen is a 6’1 Forward, that stands over most that matchup against her. Last Winter for the Cyclones, Albertsen came off the bench and did some good things with her time on the floor but this Winter, that all changes. I’m sure Albertsen is going to start while they gradate three starters from a year ago, so she is going to have plenty of changes to make her presence known of both sides of the ball. I’d love to see her standout defensively being their rim protector but we will find out early on in the year what her role will actually be. If she can figure it out early and play to her strengths, I’m sure she will have some solid numbers for her Senior year.

Harlan Community always seems to have a tall post prospect moving into their Senior year that is interesting. This season it’ll be 6’1 Power Forward, Grace Albertsen Grace Albertsen 6'1" | PF Harlan Community | 2025 State IA . Albertsen is going to be this groups force in the middle for all intents and purposes. Last year they had a force to deal with in Albertsen and Erica Rust but now it’s just Albertsen and she is looking to make her mark this next twelve months. Her team’s next tallest prospect comes in at 5’10, so she should FEAST in the rebounding and put-back departments near the hoop. Her team seems to mix up a zone and man defense but either way, she is going to be someone that is circled on scouting reports for opposing team’s that are lacing up to compete against them.
