Williams was another player who sold me off the top at the PGH Freshman Showcase, and although I had never seen her before, I knew she was going to be added because of the variety of pluses she brought to the table. She scored multiple ways in the 3 on 3, yet her intensity on both ends falls into that “something you can’t teach” as well as “never takes a play off” see evaluations here

Williams showed me enough to be added to the 2029 group on my next update in the 3 on 3 alone, see evaluation here. I spoke about how she kept her energy level up throughout the game on both ends, as well as her ability to drop the jumper multiple ways, yet she attacks using the slight HEZ, as well as an explosive first step to keep the defender guessing. Her body control after contact was solid because shestrog and powerful, she scored on outbacks and saw the floor, yes, her defense was smothering at times

Williams was another “never takes a play off,” and the intensity she brought on both ends had her jersey wet, from just the 3 on 3. Her “on the ball” pressure and quick hands got her some steals, and she also played the passing lane. She not only created her shot, but she understands how to create contact, and at this stage, that’s huge, so was her “catch and shoot”
