When Carl Albert charged ahead in the first half, Plunkett was a big reason why. She’s a powerful slashing wing-forward. When she gets a step on a defender, her long legs eat up ground to reach the hoop and her broad shoulders makes her a strong finisher. Even had one play where she grabbed a board and took it coast to coast through about three Midwest City defenders for a score. Her second half was quieter. But the Washburn commit is still one of the toughest mismatches in Oklahoma. And could be set for a dominating Class 5A playoff run.

Plunkett can stretch the floor with good touch from beyond the arc. Her continual improvement as a shooter is a big step forward for her collegiate upside. Is a tough finisher in transition and off drives, making her one of the tougher mismatches in Oklahoma. While she has guard skills, she can also play big around the rim. Along with pushing the ball herself off rebounds, blocks and steals. Upside and talent have jumped off the page since first watching her in the 5A State Tournament as a sophomore. Looks to have taken another step this summer, which will place her among the state’s elite players for a Carl Albert team in the 5A Title mix.

Audrey who was out last week is back and had an immediate impact for the Lady Titians. A matchup issue with the height and outside shooting ability she has. The game I watched to my account she knocked down 4 from 3.
On defense she adds that shot blocker that allows the quick guards to pressure up on the outside. Great hops on the rebounds that climbs the latter to grab them with two hands., Drawing some interest and offers I expect more to come her way on the second live period

Bright spot for Unity in a tough opener. Had a stretch in the first half where she caught fire from deep, with multiple threes in a short stretch. Also was a key part in helping to handle the pressure, spending more time on the ball. Displaying the complete strides she has made while becoming more of a wing than traditional four. Expect a Saturday bounce back from Unity, with Plunkett as a key part of it.

The do it all wing-forward was quiet offensively to start out, but her impact was felt throughout. Her long arms and good timing makes her a threat to block shots, deflect passes and rebound in traffic. Can be an one woman fast break when she pushes it off those opportunities. Very promising junior who checks a lot of size, athletic and production traits for one of Class 5A’s top squads.

A strong performance in the Class 5A quarterfinals put Plunkett on notice as an undervalued prospect. The way then sophomore tried to will her team to an upset victory over the defending champs was admirable. The fight was impressive and of course there’s big time physical traits that will check a lot of boxes for college coaches. Tall enough to play inside at 6 foot and long armed. But also a smooth and big time athlete who moves like a guard. Seems like a no brainer type prospect with her versatility.
The reasons to be optimistic about Plunkett’s long term potential continued into the summer when watching her play 17U ball with Team Griffin . She more then held her own and continued to change games on both ends of the court. On defense, she can be a high level rebounder, swat shots and also cover guards. There’s a lot of reasons to be excited to see if Plunkett can make the leap as a junior and help the Titans to another State Tournament appearance.
