For the most part, Brown grinded her way 15 points. Going a perfect 8 for 8 late and only shooting 30% from the field. But she saved her best for last, first drawing a foul and draining a pair to tie it. Then seconds later, scoring off a floater to win the game. Remarkable focus and determination form the senior to close out Brown has been a pure bucket getter all year and Saturday was the perfect ending to an amazing senior season and career.

When Carl Albert poured it on in the first half, Brown was at the heart of it. Was knocking down threes like they were layups. Getting to the rim. Even with a large lead in the second half, she was locked in on defense and making smart plays. Flew out to block a three pointer. Had a heads up play where she had a “give me that” steal, then as she was forced out of bounds she quickly saved it off her opponent to retain possession. It was a real “leave no doubt” performance by Brown and her Lady Titans. As they’re now only one win away from another State Tournament appearance.

Brown was serving up buckets to start the game, and continued throughout the third quarter. Has a variety of ways she can get hers off the bounce. Plays with good pace on drives. Can either get all the way to the rim and hit tough shots. Or smoothly stop and hit in the 6-10 foot range to take advantage of the defense over playing her. Mixed in quality three point shooting throughout the game, giving her a complete offensive arsenal. If Carl Albert makes another State Tournament run, it will likely come via clutch scoring from Brown.

Athletic guard that can score buckets with the outside jumper or with the downhill game. A combo guard that has championship experience as her high school team reached a #2 ranking last season. Good solid play on the circuit this summer drew attention from college coaches.

Showed athleticism finishing at the rim with a slide step for a layup leaving the defender standing waiting for the charge. Again a true combo guard that would fit great in a 3-4 guard offense and a defense that likes to apply pressure

A combo guard that really excels in a spread offense allowing her to use her quickness and athleticism to score. Do not let that statement confuse you this guard can stroke the 3 pointers as well. Good enough shooter that makes it hard to choose which way you are going to close out on her. Not close enough she knocks down the 3. Give her a bad closeout and she will blow by you for a layup. A high-level scorer that I have seen had multiple games in the high 20’s

Great skill set for a combo guard that can hit you with the outside jumper or blow by you on a weak close out. Strong driver that can get to the paint using her athleticism to get a bucket. Excellent transition guard that can pull up or change a gear to make things happen at the rim. Good handles that can the ball in the open floor allowing the point to be move of a versatile guard. Jakary played like a senior that needs to be looked at this weekend. Determined and focused on the hand at task.

A very dynamic scoring guard that can knock down the 3 and attack the rim with a hesi dribble. Jakary will be asked to step up in the scoring this season with the lost of Richardson to Newcastle. A quick defender that will gives the Lady Titans a tough front line on the press with incoming freshman. Jakary will need to be more of a scorer this season until everyone get comfortable with the system.

On any given night, any player can lead the Titans in scoring. To punch their ticket to state, it was the junior scoring specialist who had 15 points. She’s been consistent so far this playoff run, with 11 points against rivals Midwest City and 12 points in the opener against John Marshall. She’ll be draining threes and slashing to the basket next week at the State Tournament. With hopes of leading the Lady Titans to their first State Title since 2000.
