Silva technically isn’t new; I caught her last season at this very Texas Invitational, and her performance got her added to the Top 100 plus, see evaluations here. Her court vision in the set, especially from the high post looked good, as did her decision-making. She hit the boards hard on both ends, finished strongly around the basket, dropped the midrange, and played solid defense

Silva made my Stock Risers Tip Sheet from the Texas Invitational and it was good to finally catch up with her again see evaluation here so here’s the deal, she’s a shade under “the magic number” which is 6’0, however she plays as if she’s taller which is #THROWBACK. She moved fluidly inside the paint and created problems on both ends and showed she could score around the basket as well as facing it

Silva is “long and athletic” The base hasn’t changed but her timing made players change their shots as she showed she could block, alter, and (or) deflect shots. Her intensity on defense inside the paint stayed the same throughout the game and her going AFTA everything off the rim, on both ends was a huge plus
