Joseph is another who made the decision to stay in state. Approximately a week ago, she announced she will not only remain in the Palmetto State but will remain in the Pee Dee as she committed to Coker. It was two years ago when she first was offered to become a Cobra. This past season would see Joseph lead her 4A Darlington team to a 19-7 record. She played in 25 of the Falcons’ 26 games in 2025-26 while averaging 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals per contest. Joseph also earned Region 5-AAAA Co-Player of the Year honors. She is one of four seniors on coach Shaniqua Bennett’s roster that are set to graduate from Darlington.

The Pee Dee is home to one of the state’s premier frontcourt forces in Joseph at 4A Darlington. It was during the middle of last month when she reached the 1,000-point and 500-rebound plateaus for her career. In her senior season sporting the Falcons’ signature purple hue, Joseph is averaging 10.6 points, eight rebounds and 2.4 steals. She recently led Darlington to a second-place finish at the Lugoff Chevy Buick Christmas Classic that was hosted by 2A Chesterfield. As of this writing, the Falcons are 10-3 and begin region play against another of the state’s tougher 4A outs in Lower Richland.

Given Joseph’s 4A Darlington team was placed in a region with Wilson with the most recent round of realignment, the Falcons have become very familiar with the Tigers’ home arena. The final girls game of this year’s Magic City Holiday Invitational saw Joseph lead Darlington with 20 points to a win over Ascension Academy. Per usual, Joseph was not only on her game as a scorer but also as a rebounder as well. Being the veteran that she is, Joseph understood that Ascension Academy was at a matchup disadvantage in the interior and exploited it en route to the Falcons victory.

Joseph was one of the featured players in what was a competitive contest between 4A Darlington and 5A Division 1 Ashley Ridge. The Falcons may have been on the wrong end of the 55-52 decision, but the 14 points she scored kept her Darlington team in a strong position to win from start to finish. The interior, of course, is Joseph’s bread and butter. She is difficult to contain in close proximity to the basket and can get crafty with her finishes from time to time. Joseph also is a force to be reckoned with on defense with how she can clog up an opposing team’s passing lanes. She will display confidence in her ability to make long-range shots.

Joseph may be one of the more underrated frontcourt players across the state. A Palmetto 76ers/A’ja Wilson Elite product, Joseph ensured Darlington would have a smooth transition from the 3A ranks to the 4A realm ast season. She nearly averaged a double-double last season for the Falcons – 16 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.8 steals per contest for a Falcons team that concluded last season with a 16-10 record. Joseph currently holds offers from Voorhees, Coker and Claflin which extended her an offer back during the summer. Joseph was one of three from Darlington who received invites to Saturday’s SCBCA Elite Camp.

We mentioned Joseph in an earlier article about veteran bigs who seem poised to take that next big step. The coaching staff at Claflin must be confident as well as evident by the offer they recently extended to the talented frontcourt force at 4A Darlington. Joseph is playing her final AAU season with Palmetto 76ers/A’ja Wilson Elite and is coming off a season with the Falcons where she led them to a 16-10 record. What makes Joseph an intriguing prospect is not only her standing at 6-foot-1, but her ability to make plays on both offense and defense. Joseph is difficult to guard and difficult to score against.

Speaking of frontcourt standouts who sport the Palmetto 76ers/A’ja Wilson Elite uniform during the spring and summer months of AAU, Joseph has put herself in that conversation of upper echelon talents statewide. Darlington made the jump from 3A to 4A this past season and Joseph’s play helped the Falcons hold their own in a tough region that included the likes of South Florence, Lower Richland and Wilson. In addition to the near-double-double she averaged in 2024-25 with 16 points and 9.5 rebounds a game, Joseph is also a tall task to deal with on the defensive side of the floor. She averaged 2.8 steals and 2.2 rejections per contest.
