Ava had a strong spring and summer with the MT Elite Ducks and is now getting ready for her sophomore season at Hanover High School. Her team runs plenty of action to get her open looks from three-point range, and she converts them at a high rate. Ava is also a strong finisher down low and shows off a solid back-to-the-basket post game.

Buffington can do a touch of everything. What’s impressive is her flashes of impactful drives off the wings plus her ability to connect from distance. No matter what position she’ll play in hs hoops, Ava should be an impactful player.

The footwork, vision and willingness to embrace physical contact on drives are all standout qualities for Buffington. Although she’s young, she has superb natural instincts. Ava has been a major stock riser through the summer and she’s looking to keep the momentum up this weekend. She’s certainly on to keep an eye on this weekend.

Ava had a strong season with MT Elite Ducks on the UARise Circuit. She’s a confident shooter who can knock down 3s even with a hand in her face, and she also has a solid mid-range game. Ava gets her shot off quickly and moves well without the ball to find open looks.

Ava is a player that’s shown noteworthy growth over the year. Her attention to detail within the team’s schematics, willingness to do her job thoroughly, hustle and length are all qualities that could make her devasting to opponents one day. Buffington is starting to become much more reliable on both ends, plus she’s making balanced progress across the boards. Hanover has a quality prospect on their hands that’ll be useful to them next season.
