She chased down a breakaway to deflect the ball out of bounds and hustled back in transition to pick off a pass. Ava made a great read, hitting a roller with an accurate entry pass. She chased down offensive rebounds, picked off a pass, switched hands comfortably in the open court, and finished with a layup. Ava didn’t force the issue when it wasn’t there and was a steady floor general for TC Elite 17U.

Ava, a guard for TC Elite , had a strong showing Saturday at the PGH Michigan State Tournament. She knocked down multiple shots from beyond the arc and showed her scoring versatility with a smooth mid-range jumper and tough finishes at the rim. Ava also crashed the offensive glass, grabbing boards and converting them into second-chance points, making a well-rounded impact on both ends of the floor.

Ava’s defensive effort and spark on offense at the Cagers Invitational jumped out for TC Elite 2027 Wallace. She swished a wing three off the hop with textbook mechanics and dropped in a floater off the dribble with a soft touch. Ava embraced the challenge of defending the opposing team’s best player and continued defending with all-out effort the entire game. She deflected passes, snagged steals, blocked a shot, and handled the ball confidently under pressure.

Ava is a twitchy Pinckney guard with a bounce in her step. She buried a smooth wing 3 in rhythm and drove with a straight line burst to the basket, finishing well with her left off two feet in the dribble drive. Ava showed excellent hands to transfer the ball quickly to her left and score off the dribble. Her defensive breakdown and slides stood out among the group. One of her best plays during the scrimmage was when Ava accelerated straight to the rim into contact, then dished a perfect dump-off pass to an open teammate for the assist. Ava worked hard on defense and showed her athleticism by leaping up to block a shot.
