I watched Ava for the first time back in June, so it was good getting another look at her at the Freshman Showcase. She’s a very poised point guard who you can trust with the ball in her hands and rarely looks rushed. Ava keeps her head up, scans the floor, and does a good job finding teammates in transition. She’s also a sneaky good rebounder from the guard position and isn’t afraid to crash the boards.

Although she’s still young, her feel for the game and poise are well beyond her years. Ava is a very skilled guard who plays with confidence and has a little moxie to her game. She can score at all three levels and she is always looking to get her teammates involved. She also rebounds well for a guard.
