Archer has been a “marksman” from BTA for quite some time, and although I have seen her sparingly since I first caught her via LIVESTREAM, others have witnessed her ability to drop it from deep while being defended, see evaluations here Yeah, I know she can shoot it but I was equally impressed with her “on the ball” defense in the set as well as her timing to block shots. Her court vision was another plus

A lights ou 3-point shooter is the best way to describe Avery this weekend. Being that the first-time seeing Avery play she only guest 3/3 from deep on just her first 3 touches. The shooting mechanics are on point as the feet and hands are ready on the catch. Follow through is perfect and the rotation on the ball is tight. You know the bucket is good by the swish sound. Good ball handler that could release the pressure off the point guard. Sharp vision with ball always looking to advance the ball with the pass.

On defense she is a hustler. Meaning she would be the one in a press that you would to cover more than one trap. One thing on her mind when playing off the ball is picking off that pass for the layup. Showed understanding for help rotation dropping several times to cover the hammer corner pass. Smart player that is a high percent out shooter making her a game changer. Looking forward to keeping up with her recruiting process.

Archer is a sharp spot up shooter with great court awareness, she makes smart reads in transition that force the defense to pick their poison. Whether it’s pulling up for a three or kicking it to a teammate for an easy two in a scoring position.
