Avery Campbell Avery Campbell 5'10" | CG Grand Oaks | 2027 State TX is a guard who gives defenders something to deal with! Her attacking mentality and ability to finish with her left stand out in public scouting coverage. What I like about that approach is the pressure it puts on a defense—make somebody stop the ball and force them to react.

She has also shown she can knock down shots beyond the arc, adding another option to her offensive game. That combination gives me a reason to keep following her development.

Avery fits our “Game On, Names to Remember” spotlight. My message to her: keep attacking with purpose, sharpen your reads when help comes, and make the most of your opportunities. Keep hooping, Avery!

Campbell is the definition of an impact player. She contributes to possessions that directly affect the outcome. She impacts the game without needing the ball by communicating, defending, screening, rebounding, creating opportunities, and making the right reads. I’ve watched her catch fire in close games and score and ones on back to back possessions. No matter the team, Campbell buys in to the team’s schema and is adaptable in her role but remains consistent in her impact.

Campbell, like the soup, was mmm mmm good as she is playing with more poise as well as confidence in pressure situations. Watching her growth on the court over the past 3 seasons, see evaluations here has been nice as @playerrimedies has been keeping me abreast on her improvement. She’s a “long and athletic” guard who can get to the rim, but her spin move in traffic and finishing after contact, with her opposite hand, JUST DID IT for me

Served as the engine of the team, using her speed to help break the press and ignite transition opportunities. Generated deflections and steals, consistently found teammates on the break, and attacked downhill to score and/or draw fouls—knocking down all her free throws as a lefty.

Campbell impressed me numerous times over the past 2 and a half seasons yet @playerrimidies caught up with her numerous times on the PGH Circuit and updated her “on the court” progression. The huge thing is her upside, she’s a “long and athletic” guard who can score and defend see evaluations here

Campbell is a poised lefty who plays with control. She’s effective working off of ball screens and makes smart reads as she is constantly looking to find her teammates in optimal scoring position. Defensively, her length is a major asset in the full-court press to disrupt passing lanes with active hands (sometimes legs and feet) and positioning. Offensively, she attacks downhill with purpose, finishing through contact without fading away. Campbell rarely comes out the game, and her minutes are earned as her coaches can depend on her to be a steady force on the floor.

Campbell grabbed my attention briefly last at the Peggy Whiley Classic yet her mix of offensive skills keeps improving. I mentioned her being a “long and athletic” guard who scored off the dribble, as well as around the basket yet her “stop and pop” jumper was nice, so is her upside
