Simmie Colson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Coker is a “long and athletic” guard, which also falls into the base category, and not only I, but @playerrimedies have had a chance to see her multiple times, see evaluations here, and what I see is her attacking and finishing stronger after contact, yet her shooting sets the stage. Her pull-up jumper in the set, as well as “stop and pop” in transition, kept the defender guessing, yet her FLOATA looked good, along with her court vision

Coker is a “long and athletic” guard who is also the base, and her ability to slice by defenders and score keeps getting better, so does her body control. What I also enjoy watching is her not only wanting the shot under pressure but delivering and her dropping numerous threes with a hand in her face, including down the stretch, kept my adrenaline going

Coker is is a true floor general- always in motion, always engaged. She initiates the offense with poise, delivers timely passes, and smartly relocates for spot-up opportunities. Her athleticism and nonstop motor show up on both ends, making her a constant presence in the flow of the game

Coker is another “long and athletic” guard, and her defense was one of the attractions in her game that grabbed me at the Simmie Colson Classic, yet she applied heat “on the ball” to force turnovers as well as played the passing lane, but her “stop and pop” jumper was clicking, so was her “catch and shoot” from deep and she even went “coast to coast” to score

will put the “clamps” on “any–body”, no one is safe from suffocating on-the-ball pressure. A wing span that effortlessly invades the passing lane while she is mastering the scope of the deep ball. She made several finishes after contact including a few no rootbeer–FLOATs. The scale is tipped, heavy in her favor.

Coker falls into that #sizedontmatter group and immediately showed me she could play during the “3 on 3” games. She’s heady as well as steady with the ball, even under pressure, and showing good court vision along with making the right decisions was nice, and so was her scoring off the dribble. She also did a good job defending “on the ball”

Coker did a good job of mixing it up offensively as her slight HEZ got the defender to lean and this gave her options on how to attack the basket and from where. She showed nice body control on her finishes but she also did a good job dishing to her teammates off the dribble yet her pull-up jumper from midrange looked good
