from DSM Valley High School. Moon may be an undersized SF but that’s what makes her a tough mismatch for others. She can move so freely within offenses that it becomes a question of who to put on her defensively, so that they can stick in front of her throughout the duration of the contest. Moon is coordinated, she has a soft touch on the ball, she can handle thoroughly, and she doesn’t make stupid mistakes like most. When you package that all together, you get someone who can produce. We saw it this Winter, we have seen it on the road during AAU season’s in the past, and we will see that with the Vikings moving forward this Fall.

might not be the name you associate with DSM Valley High School as their top player but she is one of the main reasons why the Tigers have had so much success this high school season. Moon is a gamer and a team leader. She is labeled as a SF but she competes more as a guard from the 3 spot compared to anything else. Moon might not be the scoring leader for this team but she is Top 3 in PPG, RPG, and APG for her program, showing up every single time she takes the floor. She leads by example with her communication and passing ability, she can score it at a thorough rate, and she isn’t a slouch on defense either. If you give Moon a task, she is going to do everything in her power to complete that task and that speaks to her competitive natural overall. Valley will have a chance to make some waves come Playoff time but it’s going to be all hands on deck with everyone getting involved. If they can do that and their main players do their thing, watch out. Who knows how far they will be able to push the envelope.

Grand View received another commitment from a 2026 prospect as of late.

of DSM – Valley High School is the one that locked in her future journey on the basketball court. Moon is a crafty guard, who likes to keep it simple. She would much rather go through her opponent for an easy lay up but she can also pull out some fun moves as she gets downhill off the bounce. Moon will produce at the next level. It might take a little time to adjust but it won’t take long. She is someone who plays the game with a lot energy and that is going to help her thrive wherever she is at.

has a few offers at this time for her basketball future but she should have a few more. Moon does too many good things on the court. She is a selfless individual, that can be moved around and positioned in a number of different spots. She is considered an undersized SF that competes more like a CG, so depending on her team’s system, she can be versatile. Moon is going to be a top dawg on her Valley team this Winter if she plays her cards right. She has worked hard up until this point in her career so even if she ends up not committing to compete at the next level, she will still be able to look back and understand the time she put in.

is going to end up for her college career but she has a lot of offers and a lot of interest from all over the Midwest at this point. Moon is a 5’9 SF/CG. She more-so plays that 3 spot but she can move down to the SG position or she can work up to the SF and defend with her mixture of size/strength. It’s whatever her team needs from her but she really shines more-so at the guard spot where she can use her physicality to her advantage while attacking off the wing/corner. In transition she can get down the floor in a hurry for a finish coast-to-coast or she can pull it out and distribute for an assist at the same time. All in all, Moon has put together a respectable basketball career to this point and she is just getting started.

of Valley High School is a better than average prospect for her 2026 Class, that does a solid job out on the floor. Moon competes with the Tigers for High School ball and she is on an EYCL team for the

. She competes at the Forward position but could also move to the 3 spot if need be, depending on the line up around her. She has demonstrated that she has coordination both near and far from hoop, she can put it on the floor if pressured, and she is able to defend multiple positions at the Varsity level. I’m not sure where Moon will land for her collegiate career but whoever gets her, is getting a hard worker, who continues to get better, each and every off-season.

has put in work this offseason. After averaging 4.6PPG last season, the junior is scoring close to 8PPG this year along with pulling down 5 rebounds. On Tuesday Moon showed off a solid handle, aggression off the dribble (including on a nice hesitation-go for a finish at the rim), and ability to turn the corner with speed. Moon is also a smart defender that fits nicely into the Tigers’ system. She’s not afraid to stretch the floor on defense and takes risks at the right time.

to see the Varsity floor this Winter at a thorough rate . Moon isn’t the type that is going to kill you quickly but she wears on you throughout a contest. She is very good at using her space to her advantage, cutting off of the ball, and moving into available space so that she can receive an open pass from a fellow teammate. On the AAU scene this Spring/Summer, Moon took the floor with her EYCL team and contributed. She took what was given to her and she thrived because of that. Looking forward, the players that keep it simple and efficient, seem to produce at all levels they compete at and Moon falls into that category.

compete during her last AAU weekend in Chicago with her EYCL team and she was someone that was constant in each contest she participated in. Moon will compete with DSM Valley High School this Winter for her Senior season and I’m sure she is going to be a big part of their action as a whole. She is someone that is better than the average prospect on the court and she is going to be able to use that ability to help her Tiger’s crew this next eight months. During this Fall League, there is talent-on-talent so it’ll be a good test as to where Moon lines up with everyone else. If she plays to her game of opportunity, she should be just fine.
