Aviana impressed me because of her all-around impact for Mystics Jackson 2026 at the MBA Mother’s Day Classic. She drained a straightaway three, changed directions suddenly with a flurry of crossover dribbles, and buried a mid-range baseline jumper off the bounce. Aviana used her long arms and quick feet to pressure the ball on defense, cause deflections, and snag steals. She drove into a jump stop and finished with a tough, contested layup. Aviana threw overhead passes on a rope to teammates for assists and will be a point guard to keep your eyes on this spring.

Aviana is a shifty guard who is a threat to bury triples in a hurry or beat defenders downhill off the dribble. Avi has effective balance and accuracy shooting off the catch or bounce beyond the arc. She finishes with quality footwork at the rim and has great touch on her floaters. I am eager to see how she breaks out this winter for the Comets.

Skinner moves well without the ball in her hands; she slashed for a wide-open bucket numerous times. She is poised under pressure and has good handles. She is not afraid to attack the hoop and will make the right reads while attacking. Avi had an impressive GVSU camp, and I’m excited to see what her junior season will bring.

Skinner is an underrated overall athlete. One of those people that’s just really good at every sport they’re involved in. Skinner moves well off the ball and has a knack for finding open space. She has the jumper to take full advantage of that space as well.
