About Macey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Aggressive defender, great help defender, solid screens, high basketball IQ, do all the little things to help the team, and top 3 point percentage shooter on our team (40% on the season and 50% in the playoffs 11 for 22).

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I strive to be the hardest worker on my team - in the weight room, at practice, and conditioning. I tore my ACL as a freshman with surgery in January 2025 and started in the state championship game in March of 2026. I know what it takes to get better, and I work at it everyday.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Leadership positions in numerous youth groups.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My family and I adopted 2 schools in Ghana and recently gathered donations of humanitarian supplies to create hygiene kits for 200 children, We delivered the kits and other supplies to children in Accra Ghana over spring break. Upon returning home, I immediately started planning the next trip.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Moved from Oregon to Arizona in 8th grade and had to make new friends and find new teams. I started on varsity as a freshman and tore my ACL. I worked extremely hard over the next several months and earned my starting position back for the season opener. We had a great season and played for the 6A state championship. The injury helped me to be stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally.

What type of college are you looking for?

Strong academics and general reputation.
