follows the trend of freshmen taking on increased, do-it-all roles at the varsity level, stepping in wherever her team needs her. Her ability to bring energy and play hard on every possession as if it’s her last allows her to force plenty of turnovers. She has recorded at least two steals in nine games this season, including a season-high seven-steal performance.
Not many freshmen can make this kind of impact on the defensive end by consistently turning defense into offense. Adding to her value, Sapp is vocal on the floor at all times, a mature trait for a player at this stage. She has the ability to guard many of the top players in her class full court and create disruption by forcing turnovers.

Baylee was another great surprise of the event for me. She was very active defensively which led to turnovers and points for her team. On one possession, she got the steal and went coast to coast before hitting her defender with a nasty shot fake and getting the bucket once they flew by.

plays the game with strength, speed, and athleticism. She has the opportunity and ability to be recognized as one of the best defenders in her class. Her physical on-ball defense—applied full court without fouling—is impressive, and her defensive intensity and energy can neutralize even the toughest scorers. Combine that athleticism with her slashing ability, finishing through contact, and her ball-handling skills to create her own shot, and Sapp has all the tools to become a breakout star at the showcase.

, at first glance, does not look or play like a freshman who hasn’t even officially played a regular season game yet. This travel ball season, she has played up with 16U and held her own. Her ability to handle the ball under tight pressure and get to the rim is impressive, but most impressive is her ability to play full-court, on-ball defense with high intensity and discipline—forcing turnovers without committing many fouls.
