There are good athletes, great athletes and then there are players like Musser who simply move differently than everyone else. The 5’11 guard from Lennox put her exceptional physical gifts on full display Sunday, covering ground effortlessly and demonstrating remarkable elevation, lateral quickness and body control. Everything looks natural, almost economical, as though Bergan  never seems to waste a movement. Musser’s length and mobility make her a disruptive defender. When she forces a turnover, which happens often, few opponents have the speed to catch Musser in transition. She’s equally impressive attacking the glass, using her explosiveness to play well above her listed height. A standout track and field athlete, Musser combines rare athleticism with versatility and effort. She may well be South Dakota’s most gifted 2029 prospect.

Musser brings an impressive blend of athleticism, versatility and production to the floor. A standout multi-sport athlete, the Lennox left-hander covers ground effortlessly, runs the floor at top speed and possesses the explosiveness to impact games above the rim as a rebounder and shot challenger. She uses her length well on the defensive end, shoots the basketball with confidence and has the versatility to fill multiple roles depending on what her team needs. Fresh off helping Lennox capture a state championship, Musser has made an impression this summer, too. Bergan has all the physical tools colleges look for in a modern, positionless wing and continues to trend upward as her game expands.

Watching Bergan’s highlights, it comes as no surprise that she’s also a standout track athlete at Lennox. In clip after clip she creates a turnover, then sprints the full length of the floor for a finish – defenders in pursuit rarely have a chance. Game film confirms it: Musser is a bouncy, high-level, two-way competitor who uses her size, length, and athleticism on both ends. Her vertical pop stands out, especially as a rebounder, and she can also shoot the basketball with consistency. The lefty helped lead Lennox to a state championship this winter and earned All-State honorable mention honors. This is a gifted prospect whose blend of athleticism and production points to a high long-term ceiling.
