#20 Reed tickled me at the PGH Freshman Showcase saying she wasn’t satisfied with her performance and I told her you’re doing fine yet hearing her say that told me a lot as she wants to continue to elevate her game. I mentioned she went AFTA everything off the rim, on both ends, and scored around the basket in various ways, hands, and footwork included. Reed showed her UPS numerous times, either going AFTA everything off the rim or altering someone’s shot but she also used it to score around the basket. Her versatility stood out as she went coast to coast to score while being pressured, her “hands and footwork” inside the paint was effective, and so was her scoring off the dribble, body control was a yes. Her defense was good, she also played the passing lane

Blayklee dominated the 3v3 games, displaying a range of skills with seemingly minimal effort. Hovering mid-air and then letting the ball go for the eight to ten foot jumper. Reed possess incredible body control with a 6 foot frame. Not to mention she is going to grow into her growth, and the jump shot coming, she is one to watch.

Reed was one of these standouts at the #NextUp Individual Showcase in Waco I recently attended and her upside has me smiling. She stands almost at “the magic number” and she’s “long and athletic” which is the base. She gave me the “hands and footwork” as well as timing to block shots yet her rebounding and finishing strongly around the basket stood out, and so did her court vision. She also attacked and finished strongly off the dribble
