is in the rare company with the stats she just posted for the regular season with her Westwood High School team (19-1). Johnson finished off the regular season with 20.5 PPG and 9.9 RPG, leaving her .1 RPG away from averaging a double-double in points-rebounds throughout their 20 contests and she also happen to dish out 2.2 APG at the same time from her SF Position. If Johnson doesn’t put together a good game, Westwood doesn’t look like themselves. Her production under the bucket and running the floor has helped them dominate their competition so far this Winter. They just need to play off of that momentum as we move forward and they continue to win some games before everything is said and done.

has helped Westwood High School to an undefeated record so far this season at 15-0. This makes the Rebels the last undefeated program throughout the 2A Class at this point with an average margin of victory of 25.6 PPG. Which is impressive considering the size of their town is only 1,100 people in total. What opposing teams can’t handle is Johnson’s presence in the paint. She has natural size over most that come in her way at 6’0, a soft touch on the ball, and adequate coordination all over the floor. This makes her a nightmare for opposing teams. If you put someone smaller on her, she is going to go over the top of them with a simple finish. If you put someone bigger on her, she is mobile enough to move right on by them whenever they attempt to wall up under the bucket. This is someone that I expect to play her Freshman year at the college level if she can work on her weaknesses come this off-season. That’s something she shouldn’t be worried about at this time as we are still in season but it’s definitely something to think about down the road.

of Westwood High School. Johnson is Westwood’s force to be reckoned with in the painted area. She primarily navigates between the blocks on both offense and defense, usually producing in several different ways. Offensively, she is skilled with a strong move with her back to the basket on either side of the floor. She can go through weaker opponents, over smaller opponents, or around any other type of opponent with her counter moves. Defensively, she is someone that comes hard from help-side whenever she might be out of the play to show one last line of defense but most of the time, she is right in the middle of the action in the middle of the paint. Johnson could grow into a big role with the Storm over the next few years. She just needs to find her place within the program early on and the rest could be history.

of Westwood High School and Swarm AAU Basketball is going to be a player we continuously hear more and more about until she graduates with her mixture of size and production. Johnson is a force in the middle. Someone who can kill it with her back to the basket on either block or she can work from the midrange and get downhill going towards the basket. Defensively, she can wall up and be physical or she can step-out and hold her own away from the basket. She is definitely someone that you have to worry about while attacking or else she is going to alter the attempt in some way.

The Westwood Rebels are always a Varsity program throughout the state that we hear of. Either because they have a solid recruit or they are making waves in their Class. In this case, it’s because of their SF –

. Johnson has been a Forward on the rise of the past year. She has consistently put together rememberable season’s throughout her first two years in high school and she has done the same to get things rolling for her Junior Winter as well. Johnson has interest from most D3 and NAIA schools around the Midwest. With her mixture of length, simplicity, and smarts – she usually kills it and it’s nice to see that other recruiters notice that as well.

. Johnson has been someone to know the past two years on the Varsity floor because of her production. On both sides of the basketball Johnson has consistently put up respectable numbers, usually leading the game by the end of it with her scoring and rebounding abilities. Prior to this Fall, Johnson had some interest and some offers to continue on with basketball following high school, the most recent coming from Northwestern Women’s Basketball out of Orange City, Iowa. I’m sure this offer gives Johnson some added motivation prior to her Junior campaign. I don’t expect her to commit at this time but more-so, later down the line in the future following this high school season.

of Westwood High School has recently been offer by Blair Cliff to compete after she finishes up high school. This is one of the first offers for Johnson but it won’t be the last. At Westwood, with who they have to matchup again, Johnson has been a killer in her conference the past two season. She is a prospect that has size at 6’0, long arms, and she has demonstrated a coordinated type of play style when she is competing. Offensively, she can finish over smaller opponents or she can step up and hit them with a crafty counter move for an easier look in some sort of way. Defensively, opponents have to worry about her long arms and quick reaction time off of the ball. They might beat their first opponent but if they don’t account for Johnson, she could get an easy tip of the ball while it’s being shot. All in all, Johnson should get the attention of most D3 programs out of the Midwest at this pace. Competing for a smaller high school doesn’t necessarily help her cause but I think in the end she is going to be just fine.
