About Bri
Expert Analysis
Lathan Sepeda | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Bri Macon brought size, athleticism, and versatility to Jazz City Jam, proving why she continues to gain attention as a rising 2027 prospect. The 5’11” small forward consistently impacted the game with her physical presence, rim-attacking ability, and nonstop motor throughout the weekend.
Macon runs the floor extremely well for her size and creates matchup problems with her ability to score around the basket while also defending multiple positions. She embraced physical basketball, attacked rebounds aggressively, and brought toughness on both ends every time she stepped on the court.
What stood out most was her ability to play through contact and make winning plays in transition. Bri’s athleticism and effort allow her to impact the game beyond scoring, especially defensively where her length and activity helped disrupt opponents throughout the event.
Prep Girls Hoops coverage has already highlighted her strong interior presence, floor-running ability, and continued growth with YAG Ballers. She also brings value as a multi-sport athlete, showing the athletic upside that continues translating onto the basketball court.
As she continues developing offensively and expanding her overall consistency, Bri Macon has the tools to continue climbing as a prospect in the 2027 class. Her combination of size, toughness, athleticism, and energy made her one of the more intriguing forwards at Jazz City Jam.

YAG Ballers 17U’s weekend in Alabama may have concluded with a whimper via a loss to Alabama Elite 17U. Her solid play still ensured her travel team put together a successful Roll Tide Rumble weekend. At 5-foot-11, she is already tough to contend with in the interior but even more so when one considers her rim-attacking skills and her floor-running abilities. Macon is a two-sport athlete who also competes in volleyball alongside her basketball achievements. She was part of a 4A Itawamba Agricultural team that finished with a 22-8 record in 2025-26. Macon earned an offer from the Mississippi University for Women back in October and was announced as joining YAG Ballers in January.

The “YAG” in YAG Ballers 17U stands for Young and Gifted. Those are attributes that certainly can describe the entire roster and Macon is no exception. Her play ensured YAG Ballers 17U would begin this year’s Roll Tide Rumble on the right pair of sneakers by virtue of a 50-43 victory over Alabama Roadrunners Premier 17U Gold. Macon is the lone name representing the Indians of 4A Itawamba Agricultural – a team that concluded its 2025-26 campaign with a record of 22-8 – on the YAG Ballers 17U roster. She is listed at 5-foot-11. Macon was announced as part of YAG Ballers 17U during this past season.
