About Briana

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a point guard who loves to run the floor. I look to facilitate the ball to get my teammates open during transition and in a half court set. I am given the job each game of guarding the opposing team’s point guard and pressuring them up and down the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality on the court is I want to win. I am pretty hard on myself. I hold myself to a high standard and do not like to make very many mistakes. I know mistakes come with the game but I try to make as few as possible. My personality would be fun and outgoing. I love to hangout with my friends and being a multi sport athlete you are brought friends with the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

No.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

The skills that I have developed are trying to be a leader for my team. As the point guard my teammates and coaches tend to put a lot of trust in me to be able to do my job in the game.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faces significant challenges throughout my basketball career. These past two years of school ball we have accomplished a common goal of every high school team to make it to the state tournament. Our 2023-2024 season we got out in the finals and got 5a state runner up. While our 2024-2025 season we got beat out in the semis vs Farmington High School.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that would have a close knit community who loves to support their teams. Growing up going to VHS our community is one of the things many people notice about our program. There has been so many nights in the gym where we have been playing and cannot even hear the play callout because the gym is so loud/energetic. I would love to be able to continue having that community.

She creates her shot under pressure to drop it, she also showed the catch and shoot from deep, yet her body control, coupled with acrobatic finishes, had me smiling
