About Kim
Expert Analysis
Gabrielle Bean | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Kim has put together an outstanding season for the Lady Eagles. At 5’9”, she consistently competes against opponents two to three inches taller, using her strength, positioning, and body control to finish effectively around the rim. Her toughness and effort in the paint have made a major impact, as she currently leads the Eagles in rebounding with 180 boards through 27 games.
Henry has delivered in big moments as well. She recorded an impressive 20-point, 10-rebound, 2-assist performance against Little Rock Christian and added another double-double against Maumelle High School with 13 points and 12 rebounds. With the team heading into the 5A State Tournament next week and ranked second in 5A, the outlook is strong for the Vilonia Eagles. Kim’s consistency will be a key factor as they make their postseason run.

is coming off a sophomore season where Lady Eagle fans saw her pick up a couple of college offers and earn an all-conference selection. She is having a great summer thus far, so those same fans should expect even better play from their star forward.
Henry had season totals of 249 points, 176 rebounds, 41 assists, 45 steals, 20 blocks, and 17 charges in 2024-25. She was also an efficient shooter, knocking down 56% of her shots from inside the arc and hitting 42% from three.
The incoming junior is a solid finisher in the paint. Though her left is her dominant hand, she has shown an affinity for finishing with both hands. She can catch and shoot short jumpers and knock down runners in the lane. Henry proved this past season that she can hit the outside shot effectively, which pairs perfectly with her defensive ability. On one end, she is an inside-outside offensive threat; on the other, she can defend the paint and along the perimeter.

should expect more offers to go her way this coming year, but it is no wonder she is the top power forward in the 2027 class.

has been a star for Vilonia for some time now. This summer with the Warriors, she has done the same thing, showing off in multiple areas of the game.
Her best performance of the Heart of Texas Showcase was against the Texas Elite East Texas Spurs, where she recorded 22 points and 3 blocks. Henry is not known as an outside shooter, but she surprised the defense by knocking down several triples, displaying the improvements she has made in that area of the game.
Henry was making herself an easy target for her teammates to pass to in the post. She was gaining positioning against the defense easily in the post and then using a soft touch to finish through contact. The incoming junior was also hitting short jumpers from upwards of 10 feet out with consistency.
In addition to that performance against the Spurs,

had solid outings against the Houston Aces, putting up 14 points and 3 blocks, and against ABC Showcase, logging 11 points and 6 boards. Her play on the offensive end, on defense, and the glass has been outstanding, so this is a player to keep an eye on for the rest of the summer.

holds offers from Lyon College and Crowley’s Ridge College, but she is not even close to being finished yet. Henry is the woman in the middle for the Lady Eagles, and when she has been out with injury this year, it is clear that they miss her production.
Henry is a hardnosed player who is one of the top rebounders in the 5A classification. She plays bigger than her 5’9″ stature, boxing out effectively and pulling down every board that comes her way. Henry is as dominant of a rebounder on offense as she is on defense, and she gives her team multiple second-chance offensive possessions every night.
Scoring-wise, Henry makes most of her money in the paint. She is a solid finisher who can take on contact well. She has yet to consistently expand her game outside of the paint, but as of now, that is where she is most effective.

has been one of the better players in 5A since she was a freshman, and I highly suspect she will gather more offers over the course of the next 2 1/2 years.

was one of the state’s top freshman a year ago, and now she enters the season as one of the best sophomores in Arkansas. Henry did have a quiet night in the scoring chart, finishing with five, but she was able to make plays in other areas of the game.
Henry was a tough scorer in the paint as a freshman, but last night, she showed everyone that she is a capable mid-range shooter. She is also an animal on the glass, grabbing multiple offensive rebounds.
Henry pulled down several defensive rebounds, but on that side of the ball, Henry showed toughness against the hard Lady Wildcat drives. She was not afraid to sacrifice her body, drawing a charge and getting on the floor after loose balls.

Now listed at 5’10, Kim will be the force Vilonia needs in the paint. Her blocking ability and rebounding will be key to their success this year. She can hedge on her opponents and has length to reach in and poke away the ball. She’s a role player that waits her turn. Well, this year should be the year for Henry to show what she’s made of. She runs the lane like a gazelle and gets out front in the open court with ease. Post moves and facing the basket from the high post should be areas of focus as well as shooting.
