Streed’s performance was one of the many highlights of the Freshman Showcase. From catch-and-shoot threes and explosive layups in transition to crafty drives to the rim and turnaround jumpers in the midrange, the 5’9 guard (pictured above) seemed to score in every possible way, all without forcing anything or taking a bad shot in the process. Brielle’s basketball IQ translated on the defensive end, too. Bringing her athleticism and relentless work ethic on each possession, she played smart, fundamentally sound defense all afternoon. With a young core leading the way at Alexandria this season, Streed is more than capable of making an impact for the Cardinals in her freshman campaign.
