Beyer, a 5’7 crafty ball handler, is a next up in the long line of talented players to come out of Alexandria. The Cardinal freshman uses her speed, tight handle on the ball, and keen court vision to reliably find and deliver the ball to open teammates. She’s a proficient three-point shooter who can just as easily get downhill and finish with soft touch at the rim. Riley excels at creating her own shot off the dribble, allowing her to score at multiple levels. On defense, she’s all gas and no brakes. Her relentless pursuit of the ball, quick lateral movement, and active hands frequently lead to steals and fast break scoring opportunities.

Beyer (pictured above) proved to be one of the craftiest ballhandlers on the floor, using well-timed moves to freeze defenders in their tracks. Once she got into the lane, she displayed impressive touch with a feather-soft floater, finishing smoothly over the top of taller opponents. Her impact wasn’t limited to the offensive end—she was just as relentless on defense, hounding ballhandlers with quick hands, generating deflections, and consistently making life difficult for the opposition.
