Brookelyn Roach Brookelyn Roach 5'7" | CG Grainger | 2028 State TN , this season has been consistent in making a positive impact for Grainger High School.

Roach was a great defender last year in her freshman season, and that has carried over early into her sophomore season. She has been great in the steal department. Roach has had a couple of games already this year with two or more steals.

On offense, Roach has been a good transition scorer as well as a great playmaker for her team. She showed off her versatility as a player in a game against Daniel Boone High School this season. In the game, she had 10 points, five rebounds, and six assists.

Brookelyn continues to turn heads any time she steps on the basketball court. She received an offer to play at the next level from Carson-Newman before she even started her sophomore season! She is one of the best two-way players that you will find. She plays with a tenacity that can’t be taught. Roach is a relentless defender. She is never going to give up on a play. She is extremely ball savvy. As soon as you watch this kid play, you can tell her basketball IQ on defense when she anticipates passes. She is definitely a lock down defender! Keep your eyes on this one!

Roach is the athlete that you want on your team. She is strong and plays with great physicality. I was left extremely impressed by the play from Brookelyn. She does a great job attacking and getting to the rim. She contributes in every aspect! Roach is one of the do-it-all kids. Not only does she do-it-all, but she does it all with 110%. She makes the correct reads on the floor. She makes people around her better. In my opinion, Brookelyn should definitely be mentioned with the top of the ’28 class!

Brookelyn’s freshman season isn’t over yet, and it is one to remember! She’s had numerous notable performances. In Grainger’s most recent win, she put up 19 points and added 3 assists, and 4 rebounds! She also picked up 3 steals in this game. Roach is an athlete that could post numerous defensive highlights. She continues to play aggressive defense, forcing numerous turnovers a game. If she isn’t picking up the steals, she is deflecting passes. Stein once said, “Great players are defensive stoppers. They stop their man as well as help teammates. They do the things offensive players hate!” I love Brookelyn’s defensive mindset and how she approaches the game. I have no doubt that this freshman will be on radars for the next level!
