The freshman is playing 17U and fit right in when watched during a win against MOKAN on Saturday. Carved up the defense off the bounce, with her elite combination of handles and shiftiness. Had strong and acrobatic finishes through contact around the rim. Brought similar steel and grit on the defensive end. Has no back down to her game as a shifty slasher and tough minded defender. Shoots it well in the mid-range, which hopefully will start to translate to more three pointers in her future. Henderson’s efforts also caught the eyes of college coaches, as she picked up an offer from Alabama.

Henderson is a quick and skilled guard, who is a nightmare to keep out of the paint. Has a deep bag of dribble moves, great footwork and body control which allows to often find the openings on drives. Had two of her biggest games came in pivotal district clashes against school district rivals Carl Albert. In those games, Henderson proved she has a magic touch in clutch moments. Unfortunately for Henderson, MWC ended up just short of the Class 5A State Tournament. Leaving meat on the table for a better sophomore year. Especially as she continues to improve her perimeter shooting.

Started the game on fire, and proved why she’s possibly the best freshman in Oklahoma. Has some of the best handles, footwork of any player in Oklahoma, regardless of class. Can chain together in and out moves, hesis, crossovers, etc with ease. Leading to her cooking even quick guards off the bounce. And she often does all this with a grin on her face.
Henderson produced the magical moment in the game’s closing seconds. Carl Albert tried to foul on an inbound play to get the ball back and get their lead back to over 4. Henderson caught the pass, turned toward the hoop as she was fouled and shot a circus type shot. It of course went in because even though she’s only a freshman, Henderson is already a special player. And now is starting to prove her clutch bonafides with back to back impressive performances against Carl Albert to secure a district title.

One of the state’s highest regarded freshmen is already a bucket against some of the biggest programs in Oklahoma. Really shines in transition, as her handles and speed allow her to blow by defenders. Even in the halfcourt, she drives to the rim with a feel and pace that is rare for a freshman. Can misdirect with her eyes to set up defenders, along with changing gears. In the contest against Owasso, even made some quick thinking, outstanding vision, passes. Clearly has the potential to be the complete package as a lead guard and should continue to ascend.

Henderson enters high school with scoring skills capable of being a double digit scorer off the jump. 20+ point games are very possible. Has elite handles and a jumper to match. Her footwork is on point during drives to the rim. Early signs point to her not settling to be just a scorer, as she has “dawg” tendencies on the defensive end. Potentially a special prospect, was offered by Baylor earlier this year.

Over the next four years, there will be a lot of praise for Henderson’s fantastic game. Especially because she’s a skilled scorer with handles that honestly would rival a lot of college guards. But it wasn’t just her brilliant scoring skills and offensive feel that made her shine bright on Saturday. She was a monster on the defensive end. Routinely picking off transition passes. Flying around to block shots on the perimeter or in transition. And even doing dirty work by matching up with one of the top forwards in attendance. She either fronted the opponent, deflecting intended passes. Or played strong from behind, leading to misses and then grabbing rebounds.
Henderson’s killer instinct on both ends of the floor will take her a long way in her basketball career.

The addition of Henderson gives the Lady Bombers a very quick backcourt on both ends of the court. The high scoring guard is expecting to have an immediate impact for the Lady Bombers. Henderson is already receiving interest from D1 schools including an offer from Baylor after attending their elite camp.

Another already elite talent, Henderson is already an absolute bucket. She’s already such a talented scorer that earlier this month Baylor offered her. Expect the points to flow for this winter at Midwest City. With an outstanding handle and feel for the game. More than just skillful, she already looks battle tested against varsity level physicality, as she was a standout at OU team camp.

A dynamic scorer off the dribble that makes tough shots look easy at times. Patient ball handler that waits for the defense to get settled before hitting them with a crossover to attack the rim. Great body control that hangs in the air at times to find the space to shoot the shot. Showed a nice mid-range pull up jumper off the dribble around the free throw line. An up-tempo guard that can weave her way in the open floor scoring on the coast-to-coast basket.
A talented 2029 that had no difficulties scoring this weekend while playing up. Keep an eye on this young lady as she will have a impact on her high school program next season
