Brooklyn Hughes Brooklyn Hughes 5'6" | PG/SG Akron-Westfield Community School | 2028 State IA is looking to take a big step up this Winter with her Akron-Westfield Community School program. This program is going to lose their main source of production from years past due to graduation so they will be looking for others to take the lead. I think that someone is going to be Hughes. Hughes is skilled as a PG/SG. She comes in right around 5’6, while doing a decent job of showing out last Winter behind some Senior leadership. She demonstrated that she has natural instincts in this game. She knows situation Basketball and it’s impressive for her age level. Hughes is coming off of a Freshman AAU season with her Swarm program and I’m sure she is excited to get things going for Round 2 of high school ball.

Hughes is listed as a 5’6 PG/SG, who can really do whatever is asked of her. Whether that is controlling the teams tempo with her pace of play and distributing to others or she can make some magic happen herself, usually leading for a solid attempt in one way or another from at the rim or in the mid-range. With Brookyln’s sister just starting to play at Simpson this upcoming Fall, I think she will continue to learn in this game of Basketball. If she stays motivated, she should turn out to be a respectable advisory by the time she gets into her Sophomore season this upcoming Winter.

Hughes, a 5’6 PG/SG, displays a sound ability at this stage in her career as a guard. She has some athleticism, she is fundamentally sound in her efforts while trying to set up her team’s offense, she can control tempo when the basketball is in her position, and she shows moments of impactful leadership when times might get challenging. If you know about the Hughes family, you know they are a bunch of ballers. Brooklyn’s older sister is a 2025 that will be attending Simpson following these new few months. If BH continues to work hard enough, she could be following these same footsteps, if she so chooses.
