About Brooklynn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I LOVE defense! Paul “Bear” Bryant once said “defense wins championships.” I believe this with my whole heart. I can play any guard position. I can score on all three levels. I think the word that best describes my style of play is hustle. I have a motor for both ends of the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is keep working. Things in life and games don’t always go your way but it’s how you figure out how to keep contributing when they don’t go as planned.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I completed my sophomore year with All A’s.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a starting sophomore on my high school team I helped keep our girls heads up and motivated to keep pushing through our season. I helped communicate on and off the court. I volunteer every week in our local elementary school and I really enjoy working with all the little kids. Help put on local basketball camps through our school and several of our local gyms.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced many challenges in my personal life with my family but I have watched my mother overcome and rise up from it all. When you face challenges you have to lean on your faith in God to help you through. We aren’t meant to understand all things that happen but one thing is for sure our faith carries us and God is here for us. I am very blessed and I have an amazing support system at home.

What type of college are you looking for?

Any college that wants me! I have a very open mind on colleges and I want to help be a part of something bigger than myself. I want to take what I have learned and help others. Also, I love to learn and the best compliment I have ever been given is that I am the most coachable kid on the floor.
