‘s game that immediately jumps out is how dynamic she is in the post.
Fly can lower her shoulder and bully ball dribble her way to a bucket on the low blocks. She can especially do this going right. Fly can also score near the basket with some finesse. She has a good array of post moves to get defenders off balance, and is more than comfortable at scoring off touch shots. Those shots could come in the form of a right-handed floater or a left-handed hook shot.
Fly is also a good defender. Her lateral movement is above average for her size at the high school level. It helps her tremendously when defending opposing post players in and near the paint.

Coming off a solid summer, she is ready to get to work with her Wilcon Central crew. This young lady plays with a solid motor that enables her to exploit the interior parts of the court. Offensively, she is going to knock down shots 15ft and in, clean up on the glass, and make timely assists to open teammates. Defensively, she’s going to make all the hustle plays. From saving balls to taking charges, she is the one who can shift the momentum based on her style of play. Look for her to be a significant contributor to the success of her team this upcoming season.

Physical player who can stretch the floor and do work along the interior. Has nice to the basket moves, can put it on the floor from the high post, and score it. What I love about her the most is her ability to keep plays/ possessions alive, especially on the offensive end. She has a knack for being around the ball. She is a glass cleaner, so rebounding is her forte. Look for her to be a monster this year as Wilson Central makes noise this upcoming season.

A gritty low-post player who plays with a lot of hustle and heart. She is a scrappy kid who competes her tail off. A heady ball player, she makes the extra effort plays look effortless. She sacrifices herself for her team, and in talking about giving up her body to take charges or diving for loose balls. She knows how to use her body to her advantage and really establishes a presence in the low block areas. She’s the type of kid whose offense can run through, and she can either put the ball in the hole or distribute to an open team that’s in a ready-to-shoot position. This kid is solid and a true competitor.

Tough post player who is really scrappy on both ends of the floor. Has nice footwork that goes along with an arsenal of back-to-the-basket moves. She stands out with her style of play as she hustles on both ends of the floor. I love how she sacrifices her body and dives for loose balls. She’s the type of girl who is willing to do the dirty work. Whatever it may be, this is the girl who will bring her lunchpail and hard hat to whatever game. Fundamentally sound, she is a solid two-way player who is going to compete from tip to the final whistle.

She’s back and on it again. This under the radar prospect is coming off an injury and picking up right where she left off. 21 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 steal. What more could you ask for in a kid? Talented sophomore player who is poised to have a breakout year and climb the charts. Keep an eye on this kid for sure.

Versatile kid who can play inside and out. She can shoot it from the perimeter or bang down low, going through contact on her way to a bucket. This kid can be used in many facets of the game. Doesn’t matter the system, she can fit into multiple sets. She can be used in space, playing the stretch position. She can be used in the screen game, where she will roll or pop for open shot attempts. If she is feeling it, she will grab a board and be the point forward on a fast break. Yes, she is heavy on the boards on both ends, but what I love about her game the most is her selfless attitude where she will lay her body on the line to take charges. This kid is solid and will continue to grow especially into someone you need to game plan for. Look for her trajectory to continue to go up.

Wilson Central has been a nice surprise this season, and perhaps Fly the biggest part of that puzzle I missed on. She is averaging 9 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1.5 blocks. She’s been a consistent force in the middle for WC all season on both sides of the ball. She’s been shooting around 50% at the rim all season, and most importantly–just consistent. Consistency from a freshman is hard to find…but Fly has been a player all year long.
