The Red Devils senior is among the top returning scorers in Western Kansas. She scored 15.4 points per game last season. Her junior season stat line included averages of 6.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.7 steals per contest. She is a three-level scorer who can also beat teams in transition. She shot 48 percent from the field and 64 percent from the free-throw line. She also converted on 22-of-76 attempts from deep. Minnick is ranked No. 148 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026.

Decatur Community senior  Brylee Minnick Brylee Minnick 5'10" | PF/SG Decatur County | 2026 State KS  enters her final season as one of the Northwest Kansas League’s most dynamic guards. After averaging over 15 points per game last year, Minnick returns as a proven scorer with the ability to create her own shot and elevate teammates around her. Her leadership and composure continue to define her game — calm under pressure, tough defensively, and confident as a playmaker. Expect Minnick to once again be the engine for the Lady Red Devils as she looks to close her high school career with another strong postseason push.

Following the 2025 season Minnick received KBCA, KSHSAA and SIK 1A D I recognition in addition to repeating on the Northwest Kansas League’s second team. Physically she brings a solid frame, good length and solid athleticism. Her ability to play with bounce, work both ways around the block and create with the ball and the pass could find her putting up double-double numbers. Minnick shot 51% from the floor including 31% from behind the arc. Rising 53 spots to #148 in the 2026 class, she is one of the top five prospects from the classification.

Having shot up the ranks 53 spots to #148 Minnick is maturing into one of the top bigs in 1A D I. I wrote in June that she should be landing on the radars of many colleges due to her combination of size, athleticism and skill set. Maxpreps reports she shot 15.4 points, locked up 6.9 rebounds, gathered 2.2 assists and 2.7 steals and swatted opponents at a 1.5 per game. Including shooting 29% from three she shot 53% from the floor and 64% from the line. The all-stater is a two-time second team Northwest Kansas League selection. Her solid handles are steadily improving and, besides being a consistent perimeter threat, she is a strong interior scorer off the drive and from using multiple post moves.

Brylee Minnick Brylee Minnick 5'10" | PF/SG Decatur County | 2026 State KS of Decatur County High School is a versatile and efficient forward/guard shooting 48% from the field. Standing around 5’10”, she creates mismatches with her ability to finish inside, hit mid-range shots, and stretch the floor. A consistent contributor on both ends, she rebounds well, defends with energy, and makes winning plays that don’t always show up on the stat sheet.

Brylee Minnick Brylee Minnick 5'10" | PF/SG Decatur County | 2026 State KS is a rising talent out of Decatur County who’s set to compete at this weekend’s Battle in the Sunflower. A guard/forward with sharp instincts and a developing offensive toolkit, Brylee is known for her court awareness and willingness to make hustle plays that don’t always show up on the stat sheet. She can knock down shots when left open and isn’t shy about taking it to the rim. Expect her to continue gaining momentum as she faces off against tough competition, she’s definitely one to track throughout the event.

Brylee Minnick Brylee Minnick 5'10" | PF/SG Decatur County | 2026 State KS has emerged as a cornerstone of Decatur County’s attack, bringing versatility, determination, and a positive attitude that deserves attention from coaches statewide. She consistently crashes the boards, creating possessions for her team. She can play as both a forward and a guard, and she impacts play with scoring and rebounding while causing matchup problems for the defense. Entering her senior season, Brylee is primed to boost her production even further. With her blend of rebounding, defensive effort, and smart scoring, she fits into a variety of college-level systems.

Minnick should be landing on radars of many colleges in the coming months. She has a long, solid frame and good athleticism. She handles solidly and consistently is involved in bringing up the ball and running the offense. Minnick passes well inside and uses multiple post moves to create shots. The Two-time Northwest Kansas League second teamer also was named KBCA 1A Div I third team and KSHSAA and SIK 1A Div I honorable mention.

Brylee is a force to be reckoned with in the NWKL during her junior season. She stands to carry this momentum into the summer circuit. She can get hot from beyond the arc and when she does be ready for her to drop some points on you. With her size she is also able to move to a more post position and be a threat at the rim. Defensively, her size and effort leads to her being able to pull down boards and contest shots. This summer Brylee is set to continue her progress as a player and gear up for her final year prep sports.
