There are so many unanswered questions about Brynn Schroeder Brynn Schroeder 6'0" | PF/SF/SF IA of Central DeWitt High School. That is because she is going to be an 8th grader this Winter and we just haven’t seen her play live too much up until this point, which there is nothing wrong with that. What I can tell you is that Schroeder is already standing at 6’0. She is more of a SF/CG type player but she is still extremely raw within her own skilled abilities on the court. The skill stuff will come to her with time and experience. The more she plays, the more comfortable she will become and she already possesses the physical attributes to take her to the next level eventually. She just needs to get on the court and figure out what her true position is. If she can start things off as an efficient Forward and then she expands from there – who knows where she might end up.

Brynn Schroeder competes with a solid play-style out of the Forward position. This is a common situation of the tallest player being put down-low when they are younger but Schroeder also demonstrates some guard-like abilities when she attacks from the midrange or behind the three point line. Her length and reach helps her finish near the hoop over defenders. We saw that time and time again on Sunday morning. There is still a long way to go for Schroeder in this game but she has the foundation to be a name that produces at a high rate at Central DeWitt over her high school career. She has a lot of intangibles that coaches love to see. She just needs to stay in the lab during her downtime and she will be a problem for years to come.

I would be surprised if Brynn Schroeder of Central DeWitt wasn’t a Day 1 starter on Varsity by the time she gets to the Varsity program in a couple of seasons. Schroeder is a prospect out of the 2031 Class and she already stands as a 6’0 Forward. She has been very accomplished over her time on the middle school floor and she is only going to get better with experience as she competes. When you have this mixture of size and skill at this young of an age, it sticks out to evaluator. This is someone that could be a Top 5-10 rated hooper out of her Class if she continues to work on her weakness over the next calendar year.
