Expert Analysis
Kyle Sandy | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Calleigh has had a great summer, shooting the ball extremely well. Her value continues to rise as both an on-ball playmaker and an off-ball floor spacer. On a Redline team heavily predicated on its three-point shooting, not only does Salvador ring the bell from distance but she also is a willing penetrator who uses a tight spin move to free herself in traffic. Her aggressiveness attacking the rim paid dividends in a come from behind win over the Macon Mystics to sweep the weekend series 2-0. Calleigh shot 7-8 from the line to go with a pair of threes as she posted 13 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals in a 55-51 win, shooting 5-6 from the stripe in the waning moments of the game to ice it.

Salvador had a very strong performance in the game I watched her play versus Tennessee Lady Impact mixing up her roles facilitating the offense while also scoring from the perimeter when the defense left her open. Calleigh finished the game 20 points, four rebounds, three assists, and one steal. 18 of the 20 points came on the six three point shots she made in the game. Salvador does all the little things very well and is a very good athlete who shines pushing the ball in transition for both Redline and South Forsyth. Defensively, she does a very good job on the ball in the half court and trapping and chasing defenders down in the press. College coaches should have Salvador’s name circled in Georgia and the surrounding states in the 2028 class if they are looking for point guards.

Calleigh is a very good shooter, especially from three and she hit a huge one from the corner when the Final Four game was very close in a big moment. She handles the ball very well and does a great job controlling the pace. I have seen her play a number of times and her cardio and activity level in games is always very impressive. Late in the season, against very good teams, her constant pressure on defense and pushing the ball on offense wore down other guards. She is a very intelligent player and athlete as mentioned before. She will continue to get better over the next couple years, but is already a very good pass-first point guard who will consistently make shots if left open.

Salvador continues to impress with her maturity and steady development as a lead guard. Stronger and more physical than in previous viewings, she showed the ability to play through contact and finish tough drives at the rim. She’s the type of player who can adjust her role depending on what her team needs—whether that’s scoring 15+ or facilitating and racking up assists. Her three-point shot is coming along nicely, adding another dimension to her game. Defensively, she competes at a high level and brings toughness at the point of attack. Coachable and dependable.

Salvadore did a good job using her speed and quickness pushing the ball in transition and getting to the basket for South Forsyth as well as knocking down open jump shots. She is strong with the ball and did a good job against pressure in multiple games I watched her play. Her team reached the championship game, surprising a lot of people. Salvadore was a big reason why. She got the ball to her teammates that were closely guarded, especially ’29 star

. Salvadore also used her speed and quickness on the defensive end harassing players with the ball and creating turnovers.
