Wilson seemed to rarely make wrong steps, popping up when needed with good fundamentals and court awareness. In one viewing she knocked down back to back threes early on in the second half. While another saw her display that she can score off the bounce with a great stop, pump fake, step forward and finish. The little things added up for Wilson throughout the weekend,

The small town guard has a nifty tight handle and a quality jumper. She plays with a good mix of patient and skill on drives, with ball fakes and good footwork to gain seperation. But even broke out the nastier stuff, when she dropped a defender with a behind the back move in transition. Impressively her shooting form doesn’t change if it’s a set shot off the ball or her pulling up off the dribble. Shooting and handles make for a great combination in Wilson’s game.

had a Player of the Game performance for Sperry back on December 13th when they defeated Cushing by a score of 53-17. She had 15 points to go along with four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Callie epitomizes a “heart & hustle” player. Every time that I’ve seen her play, she’s all out, all the time and an absolute joy to watch. She is quick and fast and has the handles to hold her own against even the best defenders. Callie also has a lightning quick release that she uses to get her three-point shot off before defenders have a chance to react. She won’t ever be the tallest player on the court, but she will have a lot more Player of the Game performances. It’s inevitable. She works hard at her craft and deserves a look from coaches at the next level.
