Campbell was one of the better combo guards I saw at Wofford team camp on Day One. Much like Wesleyan Christian’s backcourt, Epting is joined by other very talented guards,

and others, for Daniel. Those three took turns bringing the ball and running the offense while also scoring the vast majority of the team’s points against a very talented, young Gainesville team. Campbell showed some sharp, succinct ball handling that allowed her to create space for her to get her shot off from three, the paint, and at the rim. She has a quick, fundamentally sound shot and release and buried several shots from different spots on the court. In one on one situations, Epting had no fear breaking down guards off the bounce and getting into the heart of the defense before forcing the defense to collapse. She and her fellow guards took control of the game for long stretches with their games, but also with their experience as she has been playing varsity basketball since middle school. She was a very skilled player on a fun to team to watch. She is definitely a player who can contribute on the next level at the right college program.

The 4A field throughout South Carolina has to be overjoyed that coach Cosandar Griffin’s Daniel assembling will once again be the 3A realm’s problem to handle. With three seniors having been graduated from last season’s Lions team, Epting will be even more of a focal point than she already was. Epting has played at the high school varsity level since she was a middle school and competed in all 27 of Daniel’s contests last season. She averaged 12.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and two steals per game. Daniel has already landed a few transfers, ensuring the 2026-27 version of the Lions will once again be a very tough out.

The past two seasons for coach Cosandar Griffin’s Daniel assembling would see the Lions compete in the 4A ranks for the first time since the 2019-20 season. Daniel would compile a combined record of 49-7 in those two campaigns (including a 25-2 season in 2025-26) and Epting was a key piece to Daniel’s winning puzzle. The Lions advanced to the 4A Upper State semifinals this past season in large part due to Epting’s heroics. Epting, who has played at the varsity level since she was in the eighth grade, would average 12.8 points and two steals per contest. Daniel will move back to 3A beginning with the 2026-27 season.

Epting got her sophomore season off on the correct pair of sneakers. The sophomore was part of 4A Daniel’s initial starting five of the season and placed 16 on the board to help her Lions to a 64-14 rout over 5A Division 1 Wade Hampton. The Lions drained seven 3-pointers in the contest with the Generals – four departed from Epting’s hands. She consistently displays that she can play as either a two guard or at the point. Epting displays plenty of court awareness – one way she does this is by turning offensive rebounds into two-point putbacks. Epting is in her third season at the varsity level as she first played as an eighth grader.
