Carly has been one of my favorites to watch over the past couple of years, because she is all out all the time, and she doesn’t back down from anyone. She has length, speed and quickness, plus she does a solid job of changing speeds without forcing the action and turning it over much at all. She has a pretty stroke from the perimeter, but she is tough and will attack the basket as well. She also plays with a lot of swag and will go back and forth with players as/more talented than herself, matching shot for shot. She is crafty defensively as well, but a little more discipline there wouldn’t hurt.

I’ve been a big fan of Carly’s since I first saw her in the Spring of 2025, and at this point, I was surprised there weren’t more small colleges sitting on her court. She is long, quick, and fast, plus she is extremely feisty and tough-nosed, always “in the mix” and around the basketball. She has a good handle, she can push tempo, but she also changes speeds well and has a nice little mid-range pull-up in transition. In the halfcourt, she’s an excellent perimeter shooter, but she doesn’t force shots, and she’s really effective in pick-and-roll situations. I really think a lot of schools are missing out.

Carly is a solid floor general, able to control the tempo and the pace of the game. Solid handles and I really liked her court vision north south in transition. There was no question that she runs this team from the point guard spot. Takes responsibility for her mistakes, turned it over on one position under pressure and immediately owned it. That’s a good leadership sign.

When I saw Carly in-person for the first time last Spring, I was really impressed with her complete game. First, you’ll notice her length, plus her speed & quickness, but then you’ll realize she’s also highly skilled. She can handle the ball, push it in transition, and initiate the offense in the halfcourt. At the same time, she is an effective attacker from the wing, she can knock down rhythm jumpers consistently from the perimeter, and she has a solid mid-range game as well. Additionally, she is very quick and feisty defensively, and she can create a lot of turnovers at that end of the floor.

Carly is someone I was able to see for the first time in the Spring, and I really like the balance in her game. She has nice length at her height, she plays with speed and quickness, and she understands how to change speeds depending on the situation. She is probably most comfortable working off screens, finding open jumpers, and being able to counter by attacking the basket as well. At the same time, she is a capable ball-handler, she can initiate the offense, or she can use the dribble to create for her teammates.

I have had Carly’s name for a couple of years, but this Spring was my first opportunity to see her in person. She is a nice athlete with speed, length, and good stop/start ability. She is a scrappy defender who likes to collect steals and turn them into instant offense at the other end. In the halfcourt, she can initiate the offense like a PG, but she also has some touch on the wing, plus she can get to the basket to score it. She’s definitely an intriguing prospect.

She does a lot of good things for her team. Most importantly the little things to make her team successful. She just seems to always be in the right spot, handles the ball pretty well and can score in all three phases. Phenomenal north south downhill game to finish at the rim.
