Expert Analysis
Rasheen Johnson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
A productive point guard that had a great AAU season with Germantown Lady Panthers. A type of player that could fit in in any college system. She can run your team from the point guard position and she can score from the position as well. Already has a college frame look for her to contribute her first year at NJIT!

Watched O’Connell a few weeks ago and they have some talent. The name that stuck out was Carly a sharpshooter that can shoot from anywhere on the court. Their team looks balanced and if they can keep things close I can see her with some late game heroics to steal some wins.

Carly does a great job of playing at a good pace and not a player that can get sped up alot. Is a point guard that has the size to play the combo position. Has a good handle and change of pace to be able to create space and separation that she uses to get to her spot and create for her team. A top 20 player in the state that has multiple division one offers and picked up three more offers this month.

Carly knocked down the three pointer consistently from the top and the corner three. She moved well without the ball giving her open looks on the reversal. She was effective at the point and off the ball.

shot the ball at a high-level today for Bishop O’Connell. Carly is a great shooter, and when she gets hot, she can rattle off 9 or 12 points in a hurry. Carly does a good job getting to the rim and does well playing on or off the ball. Carly was on fire in the first half shooting the ball, and she had a couple of clutch finishes at the rim to win the game for O’Connell.

Very good first step which allows her to attack the basket at a high level. Good frame at the point position she can absorb contact and finish strong at the basket. Carly has. high IQ and is the type of guard that run any system at the next level! Great in transition opportunities with or without the ball she gets in good position to a bucket! Has really had a great spring AAU season so far picking up some offers won’t be surprised if she gets on some more colleges radar!

had some big performances this year for Bishop O’Connell. I watched her a handful of times early, and her three-point shooting always stood out to me. She is an outstanding catch and shooter, and she does a good job driving the ball.

got off to a fantastic start for Bishop O’Connell against Riverdale Baptist. She had a big first half, knocking down multiple threes, one of which she turned into a 4 point play. Carly has great speed and is a good athlete. Their athletic ability and shooting make her a tough cover. I thought today it could have served her better if she was a little more aggressive.

Carly is going to have a significant role for Bishop O’Connell this year. O’Connell will rely on their backcourt for scoring, and I think a lot of it will come from Carly. Carly was one of the highest-ranked players for 2026 in her freshmen year, but after fighting for time with players in previous years, I think this is the year she takes that leap. Carly does a great job playing either guard position. She can score the ball from all three levels and is hard to stay in front of. I expect a big year from Carly.

Carly really stepped up in a big way and showed her versatility all day. A point guard that showed elite combo guard skills that was much needed in the 3 on 3 championship game! At the combo guard she was always looking to knock down mid range and three point shots off the dribble.
