Game in and game out, Baker defended the rim at an uber high level for Creek Wood High School last season. She had multiple outings where she had three or more blocks. At 5’11”, Baker uses her size well as a shot blocker. But the main thing that makes her so good at blocking shots is her ability to step into open space. Many post players at the high school level back away when players drive. Baker, instead of this, when a player drives, steps up and meets them where they are at. Most of the time shuts down the players’ drive immediately and gives them no noticeable window at a shot that could go in.

Baker is also an outstanding rebounder. In a game last season against Russell High School, she had 16 points and 15 rebounds.
