will go down as one of the greatest players to ever wear a Thoroughbreds’ jersey. The Northern Kentucky University signee finished the season as one of the top 15 scorers in the state, averaging an impressive 22.4 points per game. She also became NewCath’s all-time leading scorer with over 2,200 career points. Her outstanding play this season earned her 9th Region Player of the Year and recognition as a Miss Basketball candidate. One thing I’ve always appreciated is a player who can go and get a bucket. Caroline is exactly that. She’s one of the best pure scorers in a loaded 9th region. Scoring 22 points per game on 44% shooting is really solid and her numbers have room to improve as her three point shooting goes up. If I were coaching at a scholarship level school, I’d take a long look at Eaglin and her upside.

One of the biggest movers in this entire update, Eaglin goes from 59th to 25th, where she was likely under-ranked previously. Caroline averaged 25 points per game last season and is on the short list of most valuable players in the state to her team.

Scored her 1000th point and was a top 10 scorer in Kentucky last season with 24.8PPG. Eaglin is the definition of a “bucket getter” she is more than capable of going for 20+ points every time she steps on the court. What I like most about her game is her ability to draw fouls and capitalize at the free throw line. She shot an impressive 72.7% making 216 out of 297 of her attempts last season. Eaglin is a tenacious on-ball defender as well. (Holds D1 offers)

Eaglin is a player I had heard a lot about, but never gotten to see play live. I now see why her name had been brought up to me many times as she was a player that stood out to me on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she was doing a great job of moving her feet to stay in front of whoever she was defending. Offensively, she was finding and attacking gaps so well. She showed an ability to score in a variety of ways or create for others. There were times Saturday that I wanted her to be more selfish, but as a player who averaged 24.8 PPG for NCC last season, I’d say her shot selection is solid.

Eaglin was the only other double figures scorer on a team that featured the 2nd leader scorer in the Commonwealth last season and stands to inherit a ton of tounches that went to her and the rest of the Senior class. She shot almost 38% from three-point range, and almost 65% at the free-throw line last season and is the 2nd leading returning rebounder on the team.
At the 250 she played hard, diving on the floor for the ball, made a great rip and go drive from for a layup despite being fouled hard. She also stepped to the line to demonstrte her abilities there. As a player entiering her Sophomore season with skills to play all over the court Easglin is setting herself up to draw some serious interest from College Coaches over the next three years. If she is willing to keep putting in the work, like what she has already shown in trimming down since last season I would expect to see her in the running for some full ride options o the next-level.
